1951 Chevy Gets New Parts
I had the best day working with my dad, brother, and grandson on this 1951 Chevy. We installed a new exhaust, fuel tank, fuel line, brake light switch, and replaced the battery cables. FYI the battery cables came from my dads 1990 Chevy truck that I rebuilt.
I got the exhaust, fuel tank, and brake light switch from eBay.
Thank you for watching!

    Just happened to me last week. Came home from a week long vacay and found my Outlander in the airport parking garage missing its cat 😢Pay $26 per day to park there but police said they can’t guarantee any safety. Was only about 100 feet from the terminal doors, where anyone could have seen them, and they still took it.

    I went to the master muffler in Utah and had my exhaust changed and they stole my Cal converter and I was really pissed off because it wasn’t nurse. It was mine and my sucks ass. I should’ve called the cops, but my husband was like no big deal. I’m like fuck that but anyway don’t go to master muffler do it somewhere else I don’t know.❤

    Yeah, I agree with you, Eric. I did not go to school, but I’ve always been very astute and researched a lot. I got my eight ASE certifications and they are all right, it was the diligent studying that helped me when I worked as a technician.

    Thanks again Eric. I recently bought my daughter a buick encore with the 1.4l engine. Had a tick and was sure it wasn’t lifters when I bought it, so of course I youtubed it. Sure enough I found a guy showing how the cam chain guide gets loose. So I pulled the valve cover and found the same problem. Found quite sludgy and was looking for a flushing agent on here when I run one your vid. Totally makes sense to me what you described. And with what I’ve read about these engines since I bought this thing 😳 I don’t want to tempt fate. Thanks again. And take care.

    The subscription model only makes sense of you don't have to deal with any repair costs. If you don't own it then you're not responsible for it. Like a Lime electric scooter for example.

    Changed my VCM, I have backup screens, thankfully I'm prepared for this. Heck, today I sanded down the clutch plate on the AC motor and reinstalled it after cleaning the contacts too. These concerns are valid, but some of us learn from wise people like yourself so we can avoid the mines. Thank you for your knowledge.

    It sounds like it depends on the engine. It'd be nice if there was a list of engines it would be fine on, and specific reasons why it'd be bad for others.

  • @gabrielfraser2109
    @gabrielfraser2109 6 днів тому

    I'd say that different chain-driven engines have different susceptibility to issues, with many Toyota engines being absolutely rock solid, and many German engines being a nightmare. Personally I'd say that one of the better chain driven engines is superior to belt, while one of the worse chain driven engines would be inferior to belt. And then there's Ford with their "wet belt" bullshit.

    Bro, you are a negative nelly. Car dollys are GREAT!! They have done EXACTLY what ive needed them to do MANY TIMES. I've even backed a vehicle into a garage bay with one!! Soon, i will be using a tow dolly to pull my car 3,000 miles in a cross country move. Yes I'll be sure to put new tires and valve stems on it. What I'm trying to figure out is is it good or bad for a rear wheel drive to be backed onto one during transport? Seems good as in no wear and tear on my pumpkin and drive shaft. Anyone else wanna weigh in? And yes i know the drive shaft can be removed but still, the pumpkin will be rotating.

    62 and grew up in a family garage. Worked on cars, trucks, heavy equipment, industrial machinery all my life. I hate cars, I mean I really hate to even have people talk to me about them or anything. They are some of the stupidest machines ever designed. I mean they change them just for reasons of fashion. And they all pretty much do the same thing. Transport people and small items. Model A Ford, 68 Chevy Nova 250 Six, or some brand new POS, they all take me to Walmart for groceries just the same.

    The primary problem is the fact that it is illegal to sell used catalytic converters for re-use. Fact is...there are only two ways a catalytic converter fails. 1. the converter is physically damaged (ex: bottoming out the car). 2. The ceramic substrait melts because there is a fuel delivery problem (ex: a fuel injector dumping too much fuel and therefore the fuel is burned in the catalytic converter). Other than these 2 scenarios, a catalytic converter should last FOREVER. Which is why those precious metals are used. They cannot be destroyed. If you can buy a used ball joint....you should be able to buy a used catalytic converter. Think about it...if the government asks a company to build something that should last forever....what might that company want in return? They might want it to be illegal to sell used ones because building something that lasts forever means they will have no sales for replacements. The solution is to do as I did...and that is contact your federal representative and inform them of this injustice and ask for the law to be changed.

    I'm guessing it's crossovers we're talking about here. I grew up in minivans that my parents drove and SUVs that my grandparents drove. Even growing up, I very much loved those SUVs, ( Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade, Expedition, etc...) Where I live, we have some rough snow storms and rough-ish terrain, and my grandfather was always a sucker for getting his cars dirty. Always loved taking dirt roads and trails in the boonies. These are things minivans just can't do. I'm alright with truck-based SUVs, but I HATE crossovers
